Back in August of 2020, I was admitted for 5 days in the hospital for double Pneumonia. It took almost 6 months to develop and finally took me down in August of 2020. It was not Covid related then nor now. I recovered and was on antibiotics for about 2 - 3 months to ensure it went away. Never got Covid once during this whole pandemic.
Well...It came back and all the same symptoms that took 6 months to develop began again in November of 2021. This time though when the symptoms started to get worse, I tried to get ahead of it by getting x-rays performed at the ER before seeing my PCP. The x-rays showed something this time (whereas before they usually did not show any evidence of Pneumonia) and I was given antibiotics that did not work. I went in again to the ER for a second x-ray and pleased with them to give me a CT Scan as that is what determined my Pneumonia in 2020.
I received the 2nd x-ray as well as the CT scan (I had to literally beg for from the doctor at the ER) of my chest. The result according to the doctor was "Covid Lung" despite my Covid Test they also administered on me was negative. I suggested that it might be my Pneumonia returning and they seemed baffled by this. This seemed puzzling to the doctors. They also tried to say I had some additional repitory infection but could not really confirm that either.
They did not seem to want to have believed it was Pneumonia for some reason. Its like, it had to Covid or nothing. I have come to determine that the medical community has its head up so far its own ass that if what you have is not Covid, they don't seem to know what to do to treat you. There are other illnesses and complications out there like Influenza, the common cold, the flu, and Pneumonia.
They admitted me to the hospital for 4 days this time, pumped me full of antibiotics and other drugs. Within 3 days I felt way better. I was sent home on a 6 week treatment plan. After a week out of the hospital, I am almost 100% back to normal, though I will continue on the medications for the next 6 weeks.
This caused major delays in my finishing "The Brotherin" album but I managed to finish it just before getting admitted to the hospital. I was able to release it finally this month.
